Fresh from Nokia World 2011, Nokia has revealed 2 new Windows Phone 7 devices – Nokia Lumia 800 (earlier known as Sea Ray) and Nokia Lumia 710 (known as the Sabre).
The Nokia Lumia 800 is what Nokia claims to be the first “real” Windows Phone that resembles closely with its Nokia N9 in terms of exterior design. Simply put, a WP7 Mango running in Nokia N9 body. It comes with a 3.7″ WVGA AMOLED with ClearBlack display and powered with a single core 1.4GHz MSM8255 processor. It comes with 512MB RAM, 16GB of internal storage and its juiced up with a 1450mAh capcity battery. Over at the back, it has a 8MP camera with Carl Zeiss optics. The Lumia 800 weighs 142g and has a thickness of 12.1mm. It comes in a choice 3 colours – Black, Cyan and Magenta.
In terms of availability, the Nokia Lumia 800 will be available in November in France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and UK. Hong Kong, India, Russia, Singapore and Taiwan will be getting it before the year ends while the rest of the world will follow sometime early 2012. Pricing is said to be €420 which is about RM1830.
The next device is the Nokia Lumia 710 which is a slightly scaled down WP7 offering with more fashionable looks. It also comes with a 3.7″ WVGA TFT with ClearBlack display and runs on the latest Windows Phone 7 Mango OS. Internally it is also powered by the same 1.4GHz processor, 512MB of RAM but has a smaller 8GB of internal storage. At the back, it has a 5MP camera with LED flash assist which is capable of shooting 720p HD videos.
The Lumia 710 is powered with a smaller 1300mAh capacity battery, has a thickness of 12.mm and weighs 125.5g. It also comes with either white or black front colours with multiple back colour options of black, white, cyan, fuschia and yellow. In terms of availability, it will debut first in Hong Kong, India, Russia, Singapore and Taiwan by end of this year before reaching out to other markets. It is priced at €270 which is about RM1177.
